Cool Coin, Forgotten Pedigree

This coin appeared in the Superior auction last July in a PCGS 64RB holder:

I saw it, and thought it was cool, but also figured it was almost 'too good to be true' as its appeared to be about 19 times finer than any other example of this coin I'd ever seen. There was no pedigree info and Superior couldn't tell me anything about it. I wasn't sure about the color, etc. so I passed.
First forward to about 3 weeks ago when I met someone who knew someone who thought that they might know where it came from and I was able to trace the coin to the 1989 auction of the James Stack Sr. collection where it was described as follows: 'The most amazing specimen of this normally dull dark brown issue we have ever seen! Choice Brilliant Uncirculated.' Acquired from Wayte Raymond in the 1940s.
If I had known that in July I'd have bought it.
Hey Andy - thanks for the tip.

and Bustman (as you may know) I already got that 2nd shot and I didn't let it get away twice.
I predict the next time someone else gets a shot will be in a really, really long time.
