Walker short set vs. barber coins

I am back to the hobby after a long break. I am looking to get a sort set of walkers in ms-65, pcgs, or pick up a barber half, quarter, and dime is ms-65. Any advice on what may be better long term?

A walker short set would be very fun and offer more coins to collect than merely one MS65 Barber half, quarter and dime. The Barbers are vastly more scarce in MS than the later date Walkers (and thusly priced).

Many seem to understand that Barbers are undervalued for their scarcity, but few people collect them to provide the demand to create a surge in price.

I doubt Generic Barbers in MS65 will rise to great heights, nor do I see later date walkers ever being a scarce commodity. Pick a series you enjoy and love and let the chips fall where they may.

Now if you want an extremely scarce Barber coin try to find a 1904-S, 1901-S or 1896-O (Heritage has a nice 64 up for auction). Truly exceptionally scarce coins for relatively modern day coins.
