David,
PCGS will certify numerous types of varieties but only a few a recognized in the registry. for example lincoln cents 1944D/S Type I and Type II are recognized and certified but only the Type I is valid for entry. Will PCGS recognize all that are certified in the variety registry or only the major ones. I was under the impression that if 5 or more were certified then they would be part of the set.
Regards,
Rich

We'll put in the Registry any variety recognized by PCGS that has a population of 5 or more (and a few high profile varieties with a smaller Pop) with the following exceptions.
1. We won't put in the "weak" versions of a variety, i.e. the weak reverse 1922 Lincoln, the type 2 and 3 versions of several varieties.
2. We won't put in weak mint mark varieties, i.e. the 1922-D weak D Lincoln, the 1911-D weak D $2&1/2.
Thanks.
