Though I don't know much about gold coins, the hair just looks too detailed, and no slab, of course.

    Barry, the coin looks to be genuine. That type can often be found with excellent design/striking detail. The color looks off, though - IF the images are accurate, my guess is that it has been lightly cleaned.

    Beautiful coin. It's real. How often do i wonder if I should go for one of these and forget all other coins. You know, just own a one coin coin collection. Worth $60,000.00, but one coin. image
