Sold my $50 Gold Eagle Set at the top! Most auctions were closed and I paid no Final Value Fee, I did however pass this savings along to some Forum members!
You can fool man but you can't fool God! He knows why you do what you do!
I bought $400 gold and still do for this year. Nothing to be ashamed about. Bring up this thread on January 1st and we'll see if gold reached $400 in 2003.
For those who are so darn sure that gold is down for the count you can make an easy $100,000 by betting gold bug Jim Sinclair on whether gold will or won't close at $400 or higher sometime this year. This would seem like a much better return for your money that stocks, bonds, or coins. Belly up boys and gals. And if you don't have the $100,000 I'm sure you can pool together that much money with just 10 or 20 of you. IMO gold is not down for the count. I'm not 100% sure it is going to $400 but it's a better speculation that anything else there currently.

You dumb idiot! On a number of occasions, I posted that I had purchased a number of $50 Gold Eagles in PCGS MS-69 holders when gold was at $280-$285. Glad I did. Have I sold them? No. Glad to have the balance they provide in diversification. Personally, I think gold will go higher again. Is that on the record enough for you, Claus?

The last gold coin I bought (and the only one within the last year) was back in December when gold was around $320. So I'm OK.
Do you guys have any idea how frightening it looks to see those two avatars of yours right next to each other in a thread?
Whew...
