Best Size Lot for Ebay??

I am getting ready to list a few lots of 1975 PSA 8 commons and was wondering what the best size lots to do are? I was thinking lots of 25 but wondered if I would come out ahead in terms of fees to do lots of 50 instead? Thanks for any thoughts!!

  • Others may have different advice, but I would strongly encourage you to list them individually if possible. There are 93 registered sets for 1975 Topps baseball, and approximately 35 of them are 10% or more completed, which suggests they are somewhat serious about set building. By selling cards in lots of 25 or 50, you will likely lose most of those "big players" as potential bidders. Also, when you list one at a time, chances are higher that one or more of your "commons" will become the subject of a bidding war that can make you a nice profit.

If your goal is to get rid of your cards with as little bother as possible and as few eBay fees as possible, put them in 50-card lots, include a few scans, start the bidding at $9.99 and hope for the best.

I just sold a lot of 106 1965 PSA 8's...and ended up selling it offline for an amount near the BUY IT NOW price.

I guess it depends on the overall price of the cards. If a lot is in the price range of the average collector...you might as well take a chance and list the whole thing first and see what happens. It will only cost you about $3-4.00.
