Lot of money for a NTC DCAM Cent

Seems like a whole lot of money for this NTC coin

DCAM Cent

It doesn't even have that much color. image

DCAM, I was monitoring that one all week and would have been a buyer had it closed somewhere in the $80.00 range (or less!). The carbon prohibits the grade and I don't see DCAM out of it but the color is real and I think attractive.
Oh well, others wanted it MUCH, MUCH more than I apparently.

Who cares, it's not original. Looks like irridesence from a dip job. Any of you who tried to bid should be happy you didn't get it. I am surprised at the ease with with you guys were willing to throw your money away, haven't any of the past threads about NTC done anything to teach you that you're treading in dangerous territory? If you're having fun then great but my idea of fun isn't spending $150 on a $1 coin.

I was curious how the coin would do at auction. It far exceeded my expectations!

Pat, I agree about the DCAM. Barely looks Cameo. I was interested in how well the color would be accepted. They buyer sure seemed to like it! image
