What's my comeback about an ebay no trade...?

So I see this 1935 Peace dollar, ngc, sorry engeecee, ms66. Ends yesterday. No bidders at $1350 starting price. Seller thinks it's a 67 (all of his descriptions say the coins are undergraded; so I'm ok with that). PCGS price guide is $2,000 - strong asking price but nice coin. I look in my wallet and including the change drawer I have $1.42. I email the seller and say I have a lot of really nice ngc stuff, well it's all modern but it is nice stuff, and I tell him I could trade a few coins worth about $2,500 (price guide) for the peace. Today I get his response:

"I don't trade; I only buy and sell. Sorry"

I'm thinking he might attract more buyers looking at 4 or 5 $500 coins than one Peace dollar. When I first saw the auction I listed some stuff so that I might have the cash, but a trade looks like the least painful route. I even have myself prepared that the Peace won't look as good as the photo but I'm still interested.

What would you do next?

    Joe......Would you trade your 5 $500 coins for 500 $5 coins?
Lots more work and nowhere near as much demand.

sell your 5 $500 coins on eBay - clear ?$1000-$1200? - watch for when the guy relists and eventually it will start lower and you will have the cash.

If he is not interested in trades, and you want the coin, get the cash -> trade with someone else for cash.
