There were three or four empty tables, but I think that almost all of the dealers who were at White Plains yesterday were in Parsippany today, except the book dealer, who must have still been at White Plains.
I thought that floor traffic was perhaps a bit lighter than the last couple of months - it wasn't too hard to get down the aisles.
There was the usual mix of material. I did notice that Tom Hyland had several nice slabbed toned Morgans and a guy across the aisle from him had an NGC-40 1802 silver dollar. Most of the "daddy dollars" I see are in fourth-tier slabs, except for a few in ANACS slabs. I can't tell you the last time I saw one in a PCGS slab and I very rarely see them in NGC slabs, either.
I only saw two coins that tempted me today (which I won't discuss, since I didn't buy them, and I'm hopint they'll still be there next month!)
Charlie the book dealer says hi...he did not leave WESPNEX because when he bought out the previous supplier he had the obligation to stay with the WESPNEX show....light turnout at WESPNEX since many dealers did go over to Joe's Show in NJ...and also additional show in ALBANY and of course Santa in CA.... for those of you with an interest....like to mention that I am seriously looking into starting a brand new show in Westchester...details are starting to come together but we have had a lot of dealer interest....this would be a one day SAT first of each month and will take place in a major hotel in Westchester...probably starting in October....to all have a great week! Jon
Scarsdale: Sounds exciting. Sounds like it will be a hit. Make it at one of the hotels near Tarrytown so you and also pull Rockland, Orange, Sullivan, Dutchess as well as Northern NJ.
We have been having some talk of starting one in Rockland on a Saturday as well, but a quarterly one.
