Seller claims this is a key date????? Amazing!

Now I have seen it all. The 1944D Merc is one of the most common dates in the series. Its also common
in very high grades. Its the second most common after the 43D. The seller claims its a key date.
Should I email him. Everyone now is so sensitive!!! I am almost hesitent to interfere.1944D 10c PCGS-MS67FB
44D examples come abundant in full bands with exceptional strikes. Even in 67.

True its only $50, but novice collectors should not be hyped up in a bidding frenzy over a common date. If that coin goes to $300., thats a ripoff. I guess, buyer beware, but why not educate.

"Key Date" used in this context probably won't attract any extra bidders and the Seller probably meant something along the lines of this one being in the 'Condition Scarcity" realm (what being MS67FB's). Even that's a stretch, but it's puffery that falls within the general eBay auction format.

This guy probably has as much knowledge as you do, you're not going to educate him. You should be concerned about the $295. for a 2000 S PR69DCAM Sac!
