Doing my part to help clean the pops

Here is a link to an Ike for sell on David Lawrence's web site. This coin is labeled as a 1978-P and it is clearly a 1978-D. I have forwarded this to PCGS and I have to wonder how someone at DLRC did not notice this and want to correct it?

  • Good catch Ken. How did that grade 65 with those scratches? I'd have gotten AU55

    Dimetime,

I think you are talking about the scratch in front, that is facing Ike? I know what you mean, probably a MS64 by todays standards. I do have good new. I contacted BJ and as usual she is right on top of things and has forwarded my e-mail to someone at PCGS that handles this. BTW, BJ replied to my e-mail at 6:28 a.m. this morning. I just can't say enough about the service I receive from her and others at PCGS. Thanks BJ !

Forget the mintmark mix up or grading problems.

    $128 for an MS65 78-D Ike??????

I'll sell you all mine for $75 each, AND discount them 5% and still triple my money.

Maybe better yet, I should try sellling a few of mine to DL.

    Bet they're not buyers.

Makes you wonder about their markup on other series.
