    few coins can match an early proof buffalo. the details on many of them is astounding, especially the matte-proofs

    That's a beauty. But there's something about Buffs - the eye appeal doesn't drop as the grades do. In other words, A 65 and a 67 don't look worlds apart (to me). The 69 in the auction is really superb, but some proof 67s would be as pleasing to me.

    New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
