Would Value your imput

I have an oppertunity to buy a Seated Dollar from a reputable local dealer. The coin would grade AU53 but for two rim dings. One is rather minor and one not so minor. These are not bag or circulation type dings. There is a discount on the coin pricing it like an XF45.
Do you buy the coin and hope to trade up later, or will the problems prevent that? Is a one grade discount enough? Over all the coin is a nice example for the type. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

  • Thanks for the imput. It seems that even priced as an XF the discount should go deeper.

Try the US coin forum- a lot more people would be there to respond who don't visit this forum- you'll get lots of opinions.
