Question about ebay and an ntc toned coin

Ok anyways here is the story, Right now Im bidding on an NTC certified coin that has some awesome toning, and on the slab all it has is the word "genuine" , thats it. And today I got this email from another user, what I want to know is if he is serious and is trying to warn me or if he is just trying to get me to retract my bid so he can get the coin. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks
Greetings, I noticed that you are bidding on the coin graded GENUINE
by NTC. I asked them what this means and their response is as follows:
It means the coins have been cleaned or has some other type of damage
and/or
artificial toning. There should be an explanation slip around the
holder or
still in the box your coins were returned in .
Thank You,
The staff @ NTC
With Kind Regards,
Scott

That's mistake number one.
<<<has some awesome toning>>>
That's mistake number two.....
peacockcoins
By the way...where's my penny ???
You mean that NTC writes that "genuine" means "the coins have been cleaned or has some other type of damage and/or artificial toning."
Wow, that's a very generous way to define that word....wouldn't that actually define the opposite of genuine?
If you show me a picture of the thing I could give you an opinion on the nature of the toning.......feel free to PM me if you like.
For the most part, NTC blows, so be careful. Like ACG and often SEGS, NTC's slab can double as a bodybag, coffin and tomb all at the same time.
Good luck.
<< <i>LOL yeah I know, but I have to have this coin >>
Then buy it.
By the way, who was that guy that said a sucker was born every minute?
Ray
I could think of better things for you to spend your money on but as long as you're having fun I guess.
And yes, that certainly is an interesting way Mistrust has of mentioning problems.
