The PROOF JEFFERSONS ! pointless but kinda funny.

When I first started collecting coins, my buddy (who infected me with the coin bug) was working on a set of Jeff proofs. He came over to our house and while the wives cooked dinner, he showed me the LAST coin ne needed. The 1942 silver proof! He was elated. The set was DONE!
He had brought over his Capital plastic holder and we got my Jeweluster and he wanted to dip ALL of them to get the toning started evenly so the whole set would be uniform.
Soooo. He dipped. I provided the soft cloth for him to set them on to dry.
I left the room.
Suddenly, I hear............"SON OF A MOMMA DOG".........or similar.....followed by several clinks and clanks.
I came back to the kitchen and found him deep into a tumbler of Jack Daniels and nickels all over the room.
It....uh....seems the T-shirt I gave him was one of my kid's and it had iron on transfers all over it.
......I....didn't know they would lift off.
Ever see a proof coin with a decal on it?
It DID dip off. The set looked nice. He didn't.

That sounds like the kind of thing that happens to me. So I never tried dipping coins. OK, I tried once and left some residue and ruined a neat proof Roosevelt.
My clumsiness is another reason why I like slabs, there is less of a chance for me to ruin the coin
