It is a good looking at around a 62 to 63. Unfortunately I feel that is environmental damage on the reverse and a spot on the obverse. This seller is good and would correct any issue if the services did not slab the coin. I also agree with GSAGUY that he is also a snot nose…….and a board member. image

I believe the toning to be real. The person I bought it from knows his stuff and I trust his word. All of my coins have a 5 day return if you are not 100% satisfied. If you send it in and it gets BBed then just send it back for a 100% refund. good enough guarantee? image

The colors are a little nicer in person and I kinda disagree with TBT on the enviromental damage.

heck I would even end the auction for the opening price for you as being a board member.

I believe I am snot nose #2 and you are snot nose #1

This is probably showing my ignorance, but

how can you tell the difference between a MS and a matte proof for this year/type?

I trust the coin because I 100% TRUST the Seller.

If I doubt the coin I then check out the Seller. In this case, the Seller says the coin is real, and that is absolutely good enough for me.

It was not a seller trust issue, its a learning issue for me. I am concerned about the central rear spot as well TBT. I may get it and see what anacs says.....or pcgs for that matter.

His http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=11942&item=3016028846 has me wondering though.....why hold that nice coin with your fingers for the photo.... and regarding ms62, i am really not versed in that series, so i am assuming certral strike weakness to be normal/acceptable...and the weakness of the rev wreath.

It looks real, and mighty attractive. It is not overpriced, IMHO. If I didn't already have a nice example in my toned Buff set, it might well be gone by now -- but I am not looking to slab, so I am less sensitive to environmental conditions that might body-bag it. Buy what you like!

Here's a suggestion: Don't bother. This is a relatively common date and you can even find nicely toned ones in slabs. This coin however doesn't look too bad. I don't see an damage and it is clearly MS. What grade? Who knows...depends on the luster. Strike is fine.

But, again, I suggest to keep looking. Plenty around...but if you like it go for it.

To get the correct lighting it is necessary to hold the coin by the edges to tilt it just right for the photo.
