How many board members gave info on the top 100 book?

Both of my local dealers were contributors (voted!) for the top 100. Curious who else may have contributed that are board members, or acquaintances of board members.

  • I voted, although my number one pick was not the 1804 $, it was the Judd-1779.

They also used pictures of a couple of my coins, most notably the 1848 CAL $2 1/2. It's EX. Eliasberg and NGC MS-67*.

    Mike,

NGC MS-67*? Can you say N-C-S?

My dealer did not vote for the 1804 either (as #1). I heard Barry tried to vote in a variety of ACG coins, but was not allowed. Any truth to that? image

  • I participated and listed all 100 coins. The authors totally disregarded the correct order and listed what they thought best. The nerve!!

    My favorite was J-1776
PNG member, same identity as Julian, a veteran numismatic dealer since 1965. Operates a retail store, also has exhibited at over 1000 shows.

I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.

I am very disappointed with the editing that allowed the picture of a double eagle to be mislabeled as that of the Schoolgirl Dollar.image

I guess this is really a who is a PNG dealer thread ( I think they are the actual voters). Nothing wrong with that.

I suppose this means the "want to be dealers" from the forums were not included. Probably explains why no "rare moderns" were in the list.

If I voted, naturally, the 1913 Liberty Nickel would have been #1!
