Just got new camera. Lots of PICS

Over the weekend I talked my father into buying a digital camera. The camera that we chose is a Olympus Camedia C-4000. I took some pictures that hopefully suit all of you. I want everyone's opinions about the pictures be it good or bad.

Nice start with the pictures. I think you'd better get the FBI in on that Kennedy and find out whose finger prints those are.

That is the camera I use. It takes stunning pictures once you get the hang of it. Are you using the macro or super macro on those pictures?

use the flourecent setting for the light source to take away the yellow look. I have the c-3000 and that's what takes the yellow out of my pics.

Lovely coins and great shots... Working up the focus on macro is hard to do, but the colors are harder. I think your color balance is fantastic. Keep it up!

Looking good. What grade is your gold dollar?

It all has to do with lighting. I have an ott light and 2 desk lamps that have reveal lights in them, 60w.

I bought an attachment on ebay (under $40) that had a macro lense on it. It really helps. I must have taken thousands of photos until I found the right setup that worked. Sometimes it still doesnt work right.

My advice is just to mess around with the camera and lighting until you find something that works.

KlectorKid it is not graded but I think it is about an Extra Fine. The coin and the rest of the others that I have posted this evening I inherited.
Lori I have an OTT light and that is one of the lights that I used. I was also using a lamp with a 60 Watt bulb and a lamp with halogen light bulbs.

A very nice G$1 which looks like a very PQ XF. You should get it graded to make sure its real. (G$1 being one of the most counterfeited gold coins) ANACS is nice if you decide to go through with it. Edited to add I dont think it is counterfeit.

I have a couple coins I really should get graded. I should probably get the 1851 Gold Dollar graded and I should probably get the 1890-CC Morgan Dollar graded.
