Marathon submission times

OK, who has the longest currently outstanding economy order out there. Mine is 1/22/03. 49th business day. Just called customer service, who was very cordial to talk with, who said it may finish this week. Since it's been about 6 weeks since we last compared times, thought it would be a fun way to relieve a bit of frustration....
After all, I've been seeing this pic for a long time.

My modern submission was received on 3-7-03 and I got my grades today. How bout that comeback win yesterday for the Cards!

Are you sure that was economy? Not modern (post 1965)? Not a freebie submission?

Still waiting.

21-coin economy submission arrived Jan. 31, nothing yet. I called last Friday and they said the coins had been graded and slabbed and were waiting for the finalizer. But, if he has to look at every coin going out of the place, how soon might that happen?

Sorry, bringing this thread back up adds a glimmer of fun to my ever waiting invoice...

How about this. I had a regular ($30 a crack) hit on 03.05 that should have been done by now. It isn't because they lost my check. Had to send off another check yesterday.

PCGS is working to reduce turnaround times. In the interim, though, my first ever NGC submission just arrived down there in Florida.

Hey Russ Email me your opinion of the grades when you get them back.

No they won't we all have stuff we sent in Feb. maybe it will be done by, June...
Like RGL, I'm a bit ticked that other people's economy submissions submitted much later than ours are getting done much faster. That ain't right. Not ticked at the people, it's good for them, but ticked at PCGS.

But, my coins -- and others -- were submitted and received prior to that warning when we were still lead to believe we could expect a maximum wait of 30 calendar days.
Just curious, but has PCGS offered any regular submitters/Registry collectors any freebie gradings as an apology or a thanks for waiting when we submitted under a 30-calendar-day max and then had it changed to 50 business days after our coins arrived?
Of course not ... that requires a little business sense and concern for retaining your customers. Don't get me wrong. I collect PCGS coins and I prefer PCGS coins. But man, it sures seems like they are doing everything they can to make you take a walk across the street...you need us worse than we need you is a dangerous attitude for any business that hopes to thrive. I am extremely disappointed.

Yea Right!
This has forced a change in where I send my coins. Of course, coins over $300 still go to PCGS. But I have no choice but to send coins under $300 across the street. The majority of the coins I sell fall into the $30-150 price range, and I simply cannot have coins out of my hands for in excess of three months, which is what my last submission to PCGS is looking like.
Aside to HRH or any other PCGS people: This is not "bagging on PCGS". This is a serious concern for those of us who derive an income from selling coins that are graded using economy. Something needs to be done and quickly to restore the turnaround times you had last year.

I call back again in late afternoon, give my submission number and the customer service rep says he cannot understand why they are not on the web. Can you read them to me? I ask. Sure, he says. He starts to rattle off grades on some Mercs -- one problem, I did not send any Winged Liberties. Wrong order, I tell him. He again asks for the submission number, this time asking for my name as well. I hold for a few minutes. He comes back on and says despite what I was told last Friday and earlier today, my coins are not done.
In fact, they are not even to the finalizer. They only have been examined by one grader. Well, when will they be done? I am put on hold again. A couple of minutes later, I am told they should be done by Tuesday.
It just now occurred to me ... I wonder if a bunch of slabbed Mercs are going to show up at my house next week?
I hope they are all FB!
