Seated dollar experts -- I'm curious about this 1873 cc

Would you consider this attractive for the grade? Average? Sub-par? Any general thoughts on Carson City seated dollars would be appreciated. In trying to assemble the four coin set, what should one look for?

Every 1873-CC has a well-mirrored look to it, and the delicate surfaces quickly adopt that ugly, washed out look that every circulated proof has. The only way to mask this ugly "circ pf" look is with toning. Unfortunately, I have not seen any higher-grade (AU+) specimens with any significant degree of toning...
When collecting CC Seated dollars, you need to temper your expectations. The huge majority will have delicate, PL surfaces. If you're looking for a specimen in the EF+ grade range, you should expect the surfaces NOT to be pristine and smooth. You should also know that both NGC and PCGS will appear to give a slight bump to the grade that will be inconsistent with how they other Seated dollars. This is most likely exhibited by looking at LIBERTY in the obv shield. For these 4 CC dates, LIBERTY is usually weaker struck than expected. So, they give the appearance of wear much faster.

PS I am not recommending this coin either positively or negatively because I have not analyzed the pricing issue, and because I am not holding the coin in hand.
