When giving opinion's on coins?

When giving opinion's on coins from pictures on this forum do you give opinions on coins you are not familiar with or really don't know how to grade good enough to give a worthwhile opinion on? I don't mean the ones that are done for fun but the ones when someone is really trying to put a grade on the coin. mike

I do it for practice - many times luster and eye appeal simply are very difficult to capture
in photos or scans by most people.

The person posting will sometimes already have it graded and I also get other opinions.

If I waited to give opinions only on coins with which I'm familiar, I'd never give opinions. So, like sinin1, I do it for practice.

If an honest description is giving ,along with a good scan I will give my opinion,I also like to see how close I can grade it..Al
