New Camera, new picture

I just got a new camera. It ia a Cannon G2 Power Shot. Just started to fool around with it today. This may bem my best shot of the day. If I can get my whole collection to come out like this I will be adding them all to my Registry sets. Both PCGS and NGC. Now I just have to figure out how I got this one. What do you all think?

  • Very nice!

Those colored Morgans are difficult to shoot in any situation. Most folks have spoken about lots of shots with different things changed just to get the one good shot, with experience making for less throwaway shots.

    Well done.

To answer one of your thoughts, where were the lights when you shot it. This seems to be the key of keys.

I took the shot in my office, at my desk with just natural daylight streaming in. .no special lighting was used at this time. I was just fooling around trying to get to know the camera.

    TD,

I suspect that coin looks a lot better than that pic. Can you get more light on the subject?

BTW, is that an old friend? Looks familiar.

  • TD,

Maybe that is the key... Place it in sunlight, and perhaps one focused light from a second angle to get the low areas of the coin. 'still think it is a great shot for just getting to know your camera!

GSAGUY do not all toned dollars at some time come thru your hands. This coin did not however come to me from you. That, of course does not mean that it was not yours at sometime . Bryan I tweaked the picture to appear lighter. The original was as it came from the camera
