I love the 1915 Pan-Pac. I owned one last year but it was just in AU. Then I sold it off on ebay to make some money on it. I'm amazed by the gold one! I read in Breen's book just 2 were made in gold. It must be a wonderful coin.

Hey Merc! I like your icon. You can see the watery fields of black and silver. Looks like it is made from mercury. Mercury! Cool. Double Mercury!

I am not a dealer in early commems but I have a website with information and photos on Early commems as well as other U.S. Types. I suggest you become a member of SUSCC (Society for U. S. Commemorative Coins), they publish a fine journal on commems. Also suggest you subscribe to Anthony Swiatek's, Swiatek's Report. You may write him atimageO Box 218, Manhasset, NY 11030. SUSCC can be reached by Gary Beedon (editor) at e-mail beedon@earthlink.net. I also invite you to visit my website on commems by visiting the links below, Rob's US Coins, or The Overland Trail Commems. Good Luck

That was probably the first $2000+ coin I dipped.

  • Thx to all for all the good info!!!!!
  • I bought "Commemorative Coins of the United States" from David Lawrence Rare Coins. This book is great! Another decent source is the Red Book. I love collecting early commems!
