Coin World "ANA to license 3rd party graders"

In the latest edition of CW there is a very interesting article where the ANA wants to license coin graders. Now the way I understand it is the ANA says that NGC is the "official coin grader of the hobby" first where did this come from it looks like NGC is in bed with ANA? Where does this leave PCGS? This is not going to stop the differences in grades given to coins as they say it will, it will only alienate the hobby even more. Anybody else have a different opinion?

That's because NGC is the ANA's grading service- therefore, they are the official ANA graders.

! ANA gets more money by selling license.
or. you must complete the ANA grading course (more money for ANA)
Please send any extra money soon I need it
If memory serves me, NGC paid something like $250,000 for the rights. I believe it's for 5 years too. I could be wrong on both counts. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Perhaps licensing grading services is an attempt to try to standardize the industry too. Grading is subjective, except when it's determined by company policy... IMO.
If the ama was concerned with the second -tier grading operations, they would`ve done something a long time ago.
but for this ME LIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
