Is anyone else in a rut?

I finished my set, I'm broke, I've tried updating, so what do I do now?

Updating a set is not the same as putting it together initially. I enjoy collecting, but I'm bored.

Does this happen to everyone?

    ME TOO!

I'm busted and disgusted! I'm broke and there are 3 Roosevelts I would like and I don't think any of them will have FSB's, at least what the sellers say.

    Have a nice day, I'm going bowling!image

Well, I'm no where near finished. I've got twenty out of the required 140. I'm working on the Lincoln cents 1909-1958. I'm just working on the pre-30's right now. The post 30's will always be availible... well, at least in my life time they should be. I have money, but there's nothing out there right now that I want to buy (that isn't priced at "stupid money" levels). It's been this way for almost a month now image.

I also ran into a rut after I sold my proof silver washington set, which at the time was the #1 registry set. then I spent months and months looking for a replacement. recently I started picking up rainbow toned washington proofs... but frankly... if someone gave me a decent profit I'd sell them. I'm really not loving coin collecting as I did just one year ago. Maybe it's a middle-aged crisis after turning fifty. Yikes, did I say 50? I remember 50 year olds being "old," and in two weeks I turn 51. oy. cheers, alan mendelson
