Who do you prefer for Gold???

I am questioning the wise one of the board. PCGS OR NGC? Pcgs is a little more expensive and takes longer, but are they any better and do they deserve the price premium? NGC is a little cheaper and somewhat faster, but are they as accurate and do they deserve a price premium?

I am sure this has been debated before but the one little twist I wanted to through in is which one is better with Gold coins?

In low Unc MS60-63 both are way to willing to give out these grades on coins that should be AU. Besides that i like the look of gold in the White NGC holder better than the clear PCGS holder

show me the coin in the holder and then i will let you know

dometimes it is a pass for ngc/pcgs gold in holdefds sometimes it is a great coin in rhe ngc pcgs holders
it all depends on the coin in question on a cade by case sight seen basis

if the coin is all there and has exceptional qualities then ngc pcgs makes no difference at all

I have been getting the grade I expect on almost every coin I send NGC. They have been really consistent. I like the goldrush special for coins under $1,000- 5 coins in 5 days for $20 each. I have several gold coins in PCGS and NGC holders and they are comparable. mike
