Anaconda is dealing in modern coins now

My wife bought this coin, a 50 cent piece, from Anaconda for my birthday, which was last Friday. It is only the second year they were using steam minting machinery, which some folks say is the start of the modern era of coins. I guess this makes it a modern coin, but still pretty cool. It is in a PCGS MS-62 holder. A few marks consistent with the grade, but the luster and look are there.

    Honey, you see, some women think coins make excellent birthday presents!!! So after i have to sell 8,000 worth of my collection next month, the least you could do is buy me a pretty barber to cheer me up!

    For the record, the steam engine was used to mint coins in Great Britain starting in 1797.
