UPDATE...'Probably the nicest MS63 Flying Eagle...

I've been had.
I was the winning bidder on the ...'nicest MS63 Flying Eagle'. (sorry I don't know how to make the link):
http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=26&threadid=169994&highlight_key=y&keyword1=flying
So I get the coin and it is NOT the one that was shown in the large scans. I contacted the seller and said he could do one of three things:
1) Send my money back and I would sent the coin back OR
2) Send me $200 since that is what I overpaid based on his bogus photos OR
3) Do nothing and I would blast him with a negative feedback and initiate an ebay fraud complaint (I know, big deal).
Of course I got no response. So, here I am out $200 (or more) AND TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, look what was just listed on ebay:

Does this coin look familiar with it's die chip over the wing and it's wonderful strike?
The reason the original coin was 'the nicest MS63 Flying Eagle' is because it is really an MS64 !!! The low-life seller from my auction downloaded scans from ANOTHER auction in order to get higher bids from unsuspecting fools like me.
Oh well, as one of my old friends used to say " What's a mother to do?".
The low-life ebay seller goes by the name of disneylulu and I have to hand it to him, he is real clever. Sells a bunch of $1 or $2 cards so he gets all kinds of good feedback and then scams people on coins. He can claim to have a 99% good feedback rating.
Anybody have any success with ebay fraud complaints or are the 2 workers at ebay too busy counting their money to really investigate?

Did you print out or save the picture from the original ad?
You should file a fraud complaint with eBay - but they're pretty useless.
Neat scam and he's covered his tracks

At least the coin I got really is a PCGS MS63 Flyer (the original 'free' ebay photo is accurate), it is just that I overpaid based on bogus photos of an MS64 coin!
Oh well. You win some and lose some I guess.
You can contact me at oreville21@yahoo.com (my user name on ebay was oreville21).
Tom
my images for nefarious activities. I had a 1795 Flowing Hair Dollar in PCGS AU53 that was an absolute butt kicker. Somebody stole my
images and used them to try to foist a fraud.
It's a balancing test. Wyn Carner used to prevent people from copying his images.
We all know that eBay is a place where you need to be careful. eBay has made a mistake by charging too much and giving too little protection.
They got their first, essentially. But don't kid yourself. Didn't Apple used to have a huge part of the market...maybe even come close
to dominating the PC field? The point may not be properly made with Apple computers but the point is hopefullly not lost that dominance is
not a permanent thing. (right.........DH.....?)
