Third Party Grading

Hi Dave!

How many third party grading services besides PCGS do you think the market can take until they start going out of business??

You deserve a lot of credit for taking this service to the world and I think it is a valuable service. I just get tired of all the copycats and I think they suck a lot of $$ of collectors.

After 20 years of grading services, the business seems to be saying that there can be two major services...one specialty service (ANACS) on a smaller scale...a few "me too" attempts that will have limited success (ICG)...and 2 to 5 copy cats that have various degrees of credibility. I believe the public auctions are the great arbitrator of value. If you look at the big auctions, it's basically a PCGS and NGC game...with some minor ANACS action...and an occasional ICG coin. You rarely see anything else in a big-time auction. I think that says it all.
