Diane Hager's response to the ANA Board Decision

This woman is truly out of it. Here is her response to the ANA Board decision that was handed down:

"I am saddened and outraged."

"I had been told that the corruption was too rampart for any decision
to be made against a governor, but I naively chose to go forward. I
presented my case with considerable evidence to substantiate each
and every claim, not only in my complaint, but in my rebuttal as well.
And still a decision was not made in my favor. How could this be?"

"Many people who attended the hearing came to me in support and confirmed
my belief that my case was clear and substantiated by facts. If others heard
the truth, what stopped these seven men and women from hearing the truth?"

The ACG scam has been going on since they first started in the early 80's..or was it the 70's?? My only comment is why did it take so long? You can also lump NCI coins and other luminaries in that pile.

Perhaps she could pay for an ad in Coin World where her supporters could express their outrage also. Maybe even attach their names to it.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

  • I am still reminded of the scene where President Nixon stood before America and said I quote" I am not a Crook!" holding boths hands in a peace sign....to funny......But thats ok Diane, he too had many supporters.....go figure...

She and her company have become so horribly INSIGNIFICANT, it is a wonder she was even able to receive a hearing or that anyone here could care what she has to say. Let's just let them slip into obscurity. image
  • This is what they list on their website- did not want to provide a link. My comments.

We offer the lowest prices in the industry- 50% to 84% lower. -----What a bargain when you don't have to grade anything.
Our lowest mail order fee is $4.75, our highest, $18.33 a coin. -----Not worth the cost even if it was free.
We carry individual coin holder dies for each coin size - over 50 different sizes. -----(over 50 sizes) that's more than their IQ totals.
We have the smallest NON-PVC slab holder in the market. -----Smaller because it cost's them less?
The AGC holder is 30% - 50% lighter than the competition. -----This is what I thought was funny(AGC) not even using their own holders?
Our holder is 1/3 smaller than the competition. -----What cometition?
Our holder is stackable, scratch resistant, and fits the standard 2x2 coin box. -----So it is easier for us to carry when we leave the country.
Our holder is twice as strong as the competition's. -----So it is harder for people to crack them out and get a proper grade.
We do not use rubber or soft inserts due to PVC problems. We use individual dies. ----- (Dies) Which is what the company needs to do.

Now these are just my personal opinions and do not reflect the opinions of any third party grading company. Remember I'am not a professional coin grader, I just play one on tv.

Good one Python, and we didn't even have to go that far back. Seems there was another famous president that kept saying to us on national TV "I did NOT have sex with that woman". At least he did come back finally and admit that he had "improper relations" with "that woman". Bet you DH will never do that in her case. Dave

Rampart???? Truly the linguistic stylization of an educated mind. Can anybody tell me if cheap and worthless slabs have a problem with outgassing chemicals which are harmful?

Sinin, I was in a soapbox mood when I listed it. The goal is to let people know what happened. The average person would never have known the outcome if not for forums like this.

As long as there is greed ACG and others like them will thrive.

Take a look at how many auctions centsles has. Look at some of his NTC slabs. Like this one 1877 PR65 Indian.

I place the blame on the dealers who pedal the stuff and the collectors seeking a "deal". In my opinion they deserve each other.

    Cheers!
  • Gee, that sure is a beautiful 1877 Indian and what a screaming bargain, I'm gonna' have to bid on that one because it's such a good deal. Man, I can't believe how low that price is! I'm going to teach those dealers that charge so much a thing or two. It is original and untampered with right? When I go to sell it nobody's going to tell me it's only worth a small fraction of what I paid, right? Besides, look at all the positive feedback that seller has, certainly so many happy collectors can't be wrong! image

I hope she wasn't expecting to win.image They've continuously misrepresented coins to specifically defraud people for personal gain. The irony of the situation is amazing. She's trying to get someone in trouble, while she should be the person getting in trouble. I'm surprised they dont' have a classaction lawsuit against them. (maybe they do?)

I walked by their table at the ANA several times. They were stuck off in the back all by themselves. It almost looked like some sort of quarintine situation. I was afraid to stop at their table for more than 5 seconds at a time..........can't explain it other than to tell you that the hair on my neck stood up every time I approached the AH Collectibles or ACG table (I don't know which "company" they were representing this time). Here's the funny thing: They only had NGC slabs in their case. Can anyone explain that to me?
  • TypetoneTypetone Posts: 1,621 ✭✭
Re the ebay auction, I think the NTC holder is a problem. Most people, know to avoid AGC coins. So, now they are called NTC. I'm not sure most people know that NTC is another name for AGC. It looks too much like NGC. I only buy PCGS and NGC, and for several years have been advised by dealers not to buy AGC. I am not very knowledgeable about the lesser services. Frankly, until I started to read these posts, I would not have known that AGC and NTC are one in the same. I thought NTC was just another start-up. I would have been fooled, at least the first time. I'm sure others, who do buy holders besides PCGS and NGC are being fooled.

    Greg

BTW, Numis, are you sure the coins in the case were NGC and not NTC?

The ex-acg employee explained this phenomenon in his telephonic testimony during the hearing last week. It seems that he was given coins to submit to NGC and if they were awarded the desired grades they were left that way, if not, they were cracked out and placed in acg holders at the desired grade.

I'm actually surprised that DH didn't declare victory, seeing as Mr. Stuppler was so forcefully admonished in the decision.
