Turnaround doesn't seem long to me, but terrible result! Update in first post.

I submitted a coin on March 1 at the Long Beach show for one of my new member free gradings, and received an e-mail from PCGS today with the tracking number. No grade mentioned, but I'll have it in less than a month!image

I bought a raw coin at a semi-major on-line auction, touted as MS63. (PCGS Price Guide - $3,900).
Came back today: AU58 (Price Guide $725), probably because of some rubs and a possible scratch from edge to edge across Liberty's knee that wasn't visible in the auction catalog, paper or on-line!image There's one half-price purchase that was no bargain. My first, and last ever purchase of a higher grade raw coin sight unseen!imageimageimage

Sure it was economy and not regular?

  • My modern sub's are taking about 30 days but I am still waiting for an economy from 1/17 and another that they received on 1/27.image

I also noticed that last two modern reports were shipped before the grades showed and there were no e-mail confirmations either. maybe thing are getting back to normal?

I sent a modern submission in, and they received it 3/20. So I still have a while for that.image I'm hoping for two MS69 RD Lincoln Cents. (1992 and a 1990-D)
