Question about error coins and designations like FB or FBL.

Lets use a Franklin as an example. The coin is a clipped planchet and only has part of the bell line but they are full.Would it receive FBL designation?

I don't see why not. You got a franklin with a clip? I have one with a small 5% clip. It is a 1958 with some nice toning. Not dramatic enough for me to slab it though.

I recently saw a broadstruck Jefferson nickel designated as "full steps" by NGC. Neat coin, to be honest. I'm not sure if error collectors really care about the designation, as much as the error itself. I imagine if the coin has the designation features, and the submitter asks for hte designation, it will get listed.
