image I don't know much about the 22-P but that one looks more like an xf than an 63.
  • haha where did they get 63 from, that's a xf at best

hey, hey. how timely!!! a friend recently won two bags of mixed lincolns at an auction. one contained two F/XF 1909-S cents and one mint state 09-VDB. the second had two 1922 no D's. i had a chance to look at them saturday morning but other than looking for evidence of tooling at the mint mark i really was unsure what to look for. the coins were probably VG at best. aside from what's listed in Breen's about the worn coat lapel and weak wheat ears, is there anything else to look for?? i told my friend i'd check with "some experts" so anything would help.

  • The strike of the 22p is very poor. A xf looks like vg.
  • Sure it's a 63.They use there own standards like ACG.They just forgot to tell us.Look who the seller is.Need we explain more?
