What a "stunning" 1893 IHC!!

My first contribution to the boards (I hope). Could someone provide a link to this coin so others can enjoy it to. I have some of this sellers coins, they're are always no. 1 in eye appeal among other things.

But can't afford this one. image

A seemingly stunning and pristine example. Why isn't it graded?

  • The coin is currently only at $1.00. Its raw and not an extremely difficult date. You may be able to afford it. Personally I would not be confident in that toning in a raw MS Indian.

I think this coin would be in a slab if it was the real deal. mike
  • I agree that the toning is questionable. There are still people out there that prefer "Raw" coins. It is one very nice looking coin AT or not.

  • mdwoods: Much thanks for the link.

I've purchased some large cents from him and they are outstanding, as is most of his, please look at his others up for auction.

I hope you are wrong, I am very new, but have alot of confidence in him.

    I really appreciate the input.

For what it's worth, I believe that the color on that coin is NOT original and that it has been dipped and/or retoned - sorry.

The color on the coin looks very, very suspicious, even for a proof. For a business strike, I'd have to say artifically toned - chemically treated.
