    thanks goose!

mr lee you got a good eye

i think the coin is an eaasy 66 but it is in an older holder

and has never been rebsubmitted and i am sure if tried it would make 66 easy

but i guess if the coin is ever sold that is for a crackout guy to buy and resubmit

I like it as a 65. I would give you waaaaaaay over "bid" for that one. Real strong 65 $$. The frost isn't all beat up like most so-called nice DMPLs.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

    thanks guys!

dog you hit the nail right on the head! but i still for me think it is a 66 and i qwill tell you way

your comments about the dmpl mirrors not being all beat up is really true and especially so for the 1888-0 date!

this date usually xomes with many many ticks in the fields i do not know why but mostly every 1888-o comes with many many ticks this coin is a rare exception

if you saw all the 1888-o 65 dmpl coins you would be shocked with more thann half in 65 holders are really not true 65 coins with all the distracting ticks

this coin with almost no ticks at all should have made 66 easy

but alas i guess better undergradeed and not maxed out in its respective holder

and remember with dmpl dollars an 88-o will not look like an 81 s in 65 or 66 but this coin is close!

Nice looking Morgan. The 1888-O is a very rare date in DMPL. How long have you owned it? Is it a recent buy? I attended Randy Campbell's talk on the DMPL dollars at the last FUN show. He gave a list of his favorite dates in MS65 DMPL and the 1888-O made the list. He reported that just 88 have been graded that high by all three grading companies. This one also seems to have a sharp strike over the ear which is a rare thing for the 1888-O.

hi there merc i private messaged you also could you give me ythe list of the coins thast were on randy campbells list?

i would hazatrd a guess that the 1881 o was on the list also it is one of the worst darfe mintmark combo in terms of eye appeal if you ever find an 1881 0 dmpl that has greawt eye appeal buy it as the coin is worth many time bid i mean the dmpl coins are like super rare as dmpl brings out the ugliness more.......lol
