POLL: PCGS coin review. Please vote.I asked this in the Q+A forum.

When your coins are done and put in the status check it says what day it shipped.Would you mind a two day delay so you could contact PCGS and ask for a review?So the status check would read your coins will ship on this day as opposed to your coins have shipped.You would save on shipping charges back to them and from them to you a second time. You would also save on turn around time, because you aren't waiting on the second shipping time.

I wouldn't mind at all. Two days is a small percentage of the 47 year turnaround time.

It is one of PCGS policy changes.You can now pay for a review on coin(s) you disagree with.

Sounds like a good idea to me. The turn around time is so long now, what's two more days? Save $$$ on return postage, and have the opportunity to request a review without having to stand in line at the PO and send it back. Creative thinking there, smprfi!

I wouldn't mind at all. But, you know if you disagree with the grades, you'll still be wrong. They are professionals and there are only about 50 people who know how to grade, and if you are not one of the 50, you don't have an argument.

The purpose of these "reviews" are for high value coins where one point can mean $1,000 or more. It is not intended for modern PR68DCAMS looking to be PR69DCAMS. You WILL pay for the review but will 99.9% still wind up with the same grade. JMHO. Steve
