Any proof Liberty/V nickel collectors out there?

There's a major run of NGC proof Liberty nickels up for auction tomorrow night on TT: LINK

Disclosure and fine print: This is a community service. The poster owns no interest in TT, does not own the coins (does not collect Vs, in slabs, at least) and will not be bidding. image

Blew my budget last week, plus have a few on my list for the Heritage sale this week.

I well know the feeling on blown budgets ... just obtained the three toughest PR-67s for my No. 1 Jeff proof set -- the '39, '40 and '41 -- in one fell swoop and am still seeing stars... good luck with your Heritage lots! image

Thanks for the update. I have a few of these. They look great in proof if they have nice color and mirrors. That is a problem with these proofs. Some have ugly yellow/tan toning or carbon spots.

i have a nice collection of business-strikes only. the proofs are overpriced for how common they are, imo.

I checked out teletrades auction tonight with the proof liberty nickels. These are some of the ugliest proofs I've seen. Several were graded as high as PF65 and were just ugly. I'm glad they gave pictures. They made me stay away from them.
