Your opinion on the new changes happening at PCGS

What do you think the following will do for PCGS as a grading company?

New designations for coins (full torch)?
Will there be more designations?
Will you add the DPL and DMPL designations to all silver coins like NGC is?
Higher grading fees?
10 coin submission minimum?
Presidential Review?
More graders grading each coin for the high end coins?
Other grading companies adding more services and designations?

I appreciate your reply on these topics as they have been brough up in the forum many times recently and some have been hot topics.

Thank you for taking your time to talk with the members from the forum.

    1. New designations - will stimulate the markets for the series involved.
    2. Not sure about more designations. probably not in the near future.
    3. DPL and DMPL-We looking at this but I don't think there is significant demand. We'll probably just let NGC try this one. We'll see where it goes. 're
    4. Higher fees are something all businesses do from time to time. obviously they increase revenues. But sometimes they just keep up with rising costs, sometimes they add significantly to the bottom line. This time, at PCGS, they should do a little of each.
    5. The 10 coin minimumwill definitely speed up processing time and help cut the turn-around time.
    6. The Presidential review will give submitters a better description of the reasons some coins "don't work" and will give some higher grades on liner coins.
    7. More graders on high end coins should improve consistentcy a little.
    8. Other grading services-any time our competitors do something we look at it. if it's a good idea, we'll do it too. i don't see any big designation opportuniy that we are missing.
