Nice article on how to tell a reconditioned Steelie from an original. IS there anyone who could post pics of a reconditioned Steel's edge vs an original?

    I've got a nice '43-S steelie with a scarce RPM.

    I don't have any pics of the reprocessed, but when you see them you can tell right away. They almost look like shined up XF coins. No luster, almost dull proof coins.

    Yep, they stick out like a sore thumb, and look pretty unnatural. The funny thing about my RPM is that some of the "aftermarket" reprocessing metal has come off, and only survives in protected areas of the coin. It's enough to make the coin look nice at a casual glance, but under magnification, it looks pretty nasty.
