New Charity Mission- Urgent Help Needed to Save a Life
Hi,
To make a long story short:
The mother of one of my friends is currently in the Mayo Clinic in Florida, as she has been since December, undergoing treatments for a rare, degenerative liver disease. While her insurance carrier, CIGNA, agreed to pay for the treatments thus far, they have refused to pay the necessary $300,000 for her to receive a liver transplant, which is the only way she will be able to survive and recover (legal action is being taken, but that won't be fast enough).
Basically, all help that can be given would be appreciated- she has four great kids (I know two quite well) and she is a principal of a local Jewish day school- they are hoping to have the money by Friday so she can be put on the list for a new liver, and hopefully receive one.
Any help that you could provide would be appreciated, and you can donate and read the full story here. You do not have to share with anyone an amout donated, and the donation is tax deductable.
While I am not one to quote anything religous, the quote at the top of the linked webpage is suitable:
"Whoever preserves a single life – It is as though that person had saved an entire world" -Sanhedrin 4:5
Thank you so much for any help that you can provide in saving a life!

I am sure each will give as they can. After all, sometimes those little round bits of metal we all love, even the banged up common ones, can reach greatness when they are used for the greater human good.
Bless her, Jeremy.

I have a few I'd like to give if your close to the amount.....
I've been here since the "HendrixKat" days so forgive me for asking.
I am sorry to hear about her illness and the need for a liver transplant. I will be sending a check
for $10 toward the pressing need.
I won for $15 is a beauty. I am pleased with each coin. I went with barberlover to the coin
show this past Sunday. I picked up 3 ancient Judean coins one of which is very rare. It is a coin
that was struck in lead. What is especially unusual is that it is struck on both obverse and
reverse.
