Opinions: Coin pictures product idea

Over the past 2 years we have accumulated 1000’s of pictures of colorful toned coins. I was thinking about making some CD’s with 500-1000 pictures (all denoms) on it and putting them up on eBay for sale. What do you think?

    better idea:

Let's get GSAGUY drunk and let him pass out and take pictures of all of his coins and add it to the CD

    INSTANT collectors item

I would probably buy the CD for a small amount of money.

What would be small. Plus s/h/i.

GSAGuy will let me look but no Pic's unless he keeps them. His coins are artwork.

maybe $15.00 delivered or $25.00 delivered with a $15.00 off coupon for a toned dollar from MY STOCK!

No discounts on coins but a 10x loupe w/case. Might work.

you must be too busy to do something like that - how about licensing the resale rights to some smuck luck me - I sell the stuff/ship the stuff and give you something like $3/ sale?

    TBT,

If you added a caption to each coin saying what type of toning it is, I think the CD would sell as fast as you could produce them.

    TBT,

Well, maybe a section of 5% to 10% of that with captions, then the rest just for viewing pleasure. The educational aspect would be an excellent value added feature. It would certainly get me to buy one.

You don't even need captions - have sub directories for each of the toning types

    Album, Bag, End-roll, etc.

can get 600 Mb on each CD can't you?

I think it's a good idea. I'd probably buy one for under $20 delivered.

You've already done the work taking the pictures, so after your cost of time to burn the CD's it should be a high profit item.

Sounds good, but find a way to put a copyright notice or something on the photos (such that it overlaps the coin somewhat) to keep bad people from using your photos to "sell" coins they don't own.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Could make it read only but if we but a copyright on the photos it kills the coin image. If people want to steal they will.

Make a calendar while you are at it. Get some waitresses from Hooters to model the coins. Oh yea...that always sells.
Of course, I'm a rabid horn dog that thinks with my...my...well...you know. But sex always sells unless you are morally
opposed to such a thing, which is totally cool too. But my motto is: Just because I'm on diet doesn't mean I can't look
at the menu. I am now going to don my flame-proof attire and await certain retribution from the moral majority and NOW.

LOL! image Humor is always welcome.

I have though about using some of ANACONDA's wild pic's of ladies to market the CD..........but don't think eBay will be to happy. image
