ebay policy on authenticity disclaimers

This seems to come up often in auctions being discussed, and I'm not sure if this is a new ebay policy or not. It seems to be a way to get obvious fakes pulled.
Quoted from this page at ebay:
Sellers may not disclaim knowledge of, or responsibility for, the authenticity or legality of the items offered in their listings.
Sellers should take steps to satisfy themselves that their items are authentic before listing them on eBay. If you cannot verify the authenticity of an item, do not list it.
The following examples violate eBay's Authenticity Disclaimer Policy:
"I cannot guarantee the authenticity of this item, so please bid accordingly."
"Vintage Handbag Chanel???"
Warning: The repeated use of authenticity disclaimers could result in the ending of your listings and possible suspension from eBay.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

I get it, but often times I list with a disclaimer in my description that I am NOT a professional grader when listing cards. Most I will ever say on a card is that it "looks" good to "me." But that is all. I have never been flagged using that disclaimer -- I feel it is pretty just saying that as I never want anyone to think that I'm a professional at evaluating cards. In terms of authenticity, most card companies have their hologram now on the card for proof.
This is a 20+ yr old thread and it's the coin forum. Best to start a new thread in the Card forum.

Maybe as a new CU member he would like some gentle guidance so he isn't disliked by nearly every member here.
You know, like you.

You're a self-proclaimed legend in your own mind. We have mods, we don't need the peanut gallery attempting to direct forum traffic. Yeah that's you. THKS!
PS: Did you run out of stickers to polish or something? RGDS!

He very kindly suggested the card forum.
20 years later and there's still plenty of crap listed that way.
