Wayne, I'm still waiting on 02/20/03 with 24 coins that are sealed proof sets! Time will tell and employment of graders will help. I would love to know the total amount of graders they have and the pay scale. I know I couldn't afford to live on the west coast, buy looking at submission and coin count for the month, it's got to be good! Down side would be someone riding your back!

From the sound of things this report won't make anyone happy-
At the Long Beach Show, I submitted an 1880-S MS65 DMPL that should have been given the 1880/9 designation(I requested a review for redisignation). That was on Saturday afternoon. The following Tuesday I received an Email from PCGS telling me that my submission was received and beng processed. On Thursday I received another email from PCGS telling me that it had been graded. On Friday I received an email that it had been sent to me by USPS and they included the tracking number for the package. The following Monday the coin arrived in a new holder with the 1880/9 S MS65 DMPL designation. I was surprised at getting the emails and surprised by the quick turn around.
I finally could not stand it any more and called today for the first time to check. The gentleman was truly sympathetic, but offered little hope My 21 -coin economy submission that arrived on Jan. 31 is "in the grading room." Apparently PCGS speak for we have not graded the first coin yet. I was told to check back on Fridays and told my submission only had been in shop for 31 business days. (And, I can imagine all kinds of haze and crud growing over my proofs, even while in a PCGS-sold "safe" flip ...) Well I asked, does that mean I can expect grades in another month, even though it arrived before the 50-business day warning? Well, I was told, that would be "extreme ... We've been slammed and economies are taking awhile ..."
I have two orders in from 1/28. The 50 business days warning is still on the submission website. 50 business days is just shy of three motnhs (duh, everyone already knew that right?)
I wonder if the delays in getting the economy coins through PCGS has opened the door for NGC and ANACS to get the coins that could have gone to PCGS?

Your shipment was received on 01/17/2003, figure it's about time this one gets done!!!

Received on 01/17/2003 Still waiting on this economy sub. and another that went in a few days later.
Does PCGS ever post grades on a Monday? I don't think they do.
Larry
That's true, but the free registry submissions also get done far faster than economy.
Well, Marty and Larry are waiting on submissions that arrived on 1/17; this does not bode well for mine that arrived on 1/23.

Those both seem to be getting done in the 21 to 28 day range.
