Standing Liberty DIME pattern??

Anybody have any thoughts/ideas as to the origin of this piece? Somebody's personal arts and crafts project? Or was this produced by someone at the U.S Mint as a kind of test-out for a Standing Liberty Dime coin? This piece is dime-sized in diameter and struck on some kind of base metal-- the design in incused. It's puzzled me for some time.

It looks like it might have just been a personal carving- the patterns we struck were fully designed- that design doesn't look like one that ever would have become a coin, at least not until a lot was added to it.

I'd have to agree with Airplanenut. It doesn't appear in Judd or Pollock, and, IMHO, seems to be a private carving.
