funny you post that. I was considering placing a bid on that but thought it would go much higher. Would have liked to have won it for my dad. You are correct.........8.00 is ridiculous for shipping on a 32.00 item unless the seller sends them all registered. I'd prefer to pay 2-3.00 and have it shot to me first class in a bubble mailer with 50.00 insurance but what do I know.
Nice coin despite the fingerprint, but $8 is excessive. I just won five lots from David Hall Rare coins and the combined shipping was $8 with a free PCGS plastic box.

He used just an envelope? Holy crap, I put so many layers of bubble wrap on my coins and ship them priority. I put layers upon layers of tape on the box too. I almost fell out of my chair when you said that!

I contacted the seller about the shipping charges and he said that's for registered shipping. I'm having it sent first class insured for $4.50, still a little high but I don't think $36.50 for the coin is that bad.
It's against the PO rules to use bubblewrap for registered mail (I have no idea why), and that's why these come in envelopes, often sealed with the string-reinforced brown paper tape.
These coins should be placed in those self-sticky corrugated things before going in the envelope.
1. Did you read the ad before you bid?? If so, why are you complaining. You did not have to bid.
2. If you did not read the ad before you bid, shame on you...that's dumb.
3. The coin you bought is worth significantly more than $32, you stole it. Vibrant green color from a 49 mint set is exceptional. Read the above comments from the roosie collectors.

what will really piss you off is if it doesn't look like the pic and you have to return it $32-10% plus cost to ship back. you paid $40 you'll get back about $25

Brian.
I just recieved a $120 Washington from this seller and it was shipped registerd.
However, he used a plain white envelope and the slab was broken in two!
Send him 50 cents more and request a bubble mailer!
Don
BTW - mine was in a PCGS slab. I think NGC's are a little tougher. Good Luck.
