OFF TOPIC...PROSPECTING PICTORIAL

A few members that only post here asked to see this when it was done, so pardon me for being off topic.

Finally got all the pages together for my February Prospecting loaded on my website. Please click the link to take the jaunt into the Arizona Outback in search of gold. Comments welcome. (As if I wasn't going to get some anyway.)

Thank you, MadMarty. It's amazing how long it takes to write all the html links and so forth.

    TWODOGS,
Very nice. Makes me long for when the weather breaks here in Michigan. That is when I travel to the Keweenaw Penninsula in Michigans Upper Penninsula, for my "other" hobby. Combing the old mines and pilings for copper and silver. Also a little datolite from Lake Superior. Not as romantic as gold, but have found some very nice specimens of crystallized copper and silver. Also both together which the locals call "halfbreeds". Can't wait now. Thanks

  • Those pieces of crystalized copper are beautiful in their own right. I have never found any myself, but have seen some beautiful specimen pieces.

Just getting out into God's Creation, away from Civilization for any length of time, is reward enough. The gold is gravy!

I have to agree, between the country, the lake, the storms, sunrises and sunsets it is good for the soul. The blackflies are the only pitfall, but you can avoid them by going anytime after June. Besides the "prizes" you collect are priced right. Nothing like removing the rock and finding a beautiful crystal of copper or silver inside. But don' get me going!
