No I wasn't there.I have been there before and he always has the same spot.He gets some nice coins once in a while but if you disagree with his grades he turns into a screamer and insulter. I don't even go to that show any more. The guy is a dick. That is just my personal opinion.
If it had a chance at 65 doubt it would still be raw. I used to attend those 2 small West Haven shows all the time in the 70's and 80's. But I got so tired of seeing the same old trap raw coins being offered I threw in the towel. Is it better now?

Color is as close to the actual coin as I could get. It is a real nice coin for an MS63, the only ding I can see on it is on the Eagle's knee. I really think this coin could go to an MS64.
As for Ol'Fred, ebay Ctnumisaut, don't know if he was there or not. Never met him so I would not know.
oh and Bill...Id send it out, I wont suggest to who, but mine is a pcgs ms65 with alot more hits than yours, but mine has killer champagne/carmel peripheral tonning (thats not spelt right) which may have given the grade a boost.
i think itll go 65, but then again mine was subbmitted on second tier grading (50$) which some people have said was another reason it was granted 65
Right now the holder is just that a holder. The coin is a MS65 to me and that is all that matters. I have no need to play the crackout game with as it makes me happy as is.
As for the different personalities as this little soirée, I have never talked to any on them long enough to get to know them. Most of my conversation was:
Can I See that coin? How much do you need to get for it? No thanks. or (Count out money) Thanks seeya.
He was argueing over a 1903 morgan graded MS-66. He wanetd $280.I said it was a MS-64 and offered $70.He said the PCGS graders at the White Plains show even said it was a 66.Gee I didn't know PCGS went to White Plains N.Y. By the way it was in an ACG slab.
hahahahaah...i wont even tell ya half the stories hes told me...But according to him if asked he has Davids ear at all major shows like the "secaucus nj show"

Oh, was Ol'Fred, ebay Ctnumisaut, at the show? Has anyone figured out his new ebay ID?
