Just for fun, check out this toned 55 mint set. Opinions please

I'm actually considering busting this one up, and sending to PCGS. Mainly the Frankies, and the two 55-D washingtons. image

They look nice. But it is a bit of a crap shoot. You don't know what is on the other side. On the 55 set I broke up, I found several with fantastically wonderful tone and a few cents with 100% brown on the reverse. Also, sometimes you rip the paper trying to get the coin out. Once you make the decision, have the mind set that you won't turn back from your plan.

    Not for sale Lucyimage
I will definitly let you know how it all turns out. I also have another single that I kept from another busted up set. It's sister coin was a true rainbow, and it got a 65. The one I have left is darker, red and Blue. So three frankies, and about four 55-D washingtons.

I guess the big score on the 55 is the D quarter, everyone is still trying to make a 67. I busted one up for the half and the quarter that got sent in to PCGS (with the way they are going should be another month). But I know the Frankie is going to hit a 66FBL, just so I can sell it to Lucy!!!image

Reverses are just as nice. I am quite skilled at removing them from the cardboard without detrimental effects.
Read Ehrmantrauts Book on Franklins, he has a good method for removing from cardboard as well.

I will do everything I can to get one for sure! If I can buy one right now already slab'd, I will, then I would leave my mint set alone...

They scare me too. Bur, these arent brilliant by any means. maybe the one s mint dime. It must be the images. They all have blues, golds, and reds to varying degrees.

I'd love to, only this set is gorgeous in person. a little dark in some coins, but clean, no bull FBL on the frankies.
Too bad I didnt know you when I sold my other 4.
If I get more than one back in 66, I'll give lucy first dibs.
