However, I was there for the 1867 Rays Nickel, Lot 1005. It went for $45,000 to the book - not including the 15% buyer's premium. There were no floor bids, so this might not be the final price for the coin.
(Just think of city streets clogged with a hundred thousand horses each generating 15 lbs of manure every day...)
