    Electron microscope would probably help. Tough break, but still a sweet coin!

I know they are tough on giving out those 70's! { You should have slipped the grader a tip} Oh never mind, it hasn't worked for me other than buying him a burger in California! It kind of ticked him off that he couldn't buy a gallon of gas instead!!!

    PR69DCAMS are pretty scarce.
    Where did you originally locate it?

    I bought it on E-Bay, one of those "unopened 1964 Proof Set". Really, no crap, paid $10 for it.

    Saw the Lincoln---------->image

    This was a scan (the coin is still in the cello wrap!) , but when I saw the coin, I knew I had a winner. BTW, the spot on the reverse is on the scanner, not the coin!

    Congratulations. I sent a submission about five days ago.image It has a 1990-D and a 1992 Lincoln Cent that I think will both make MS69 RD. The coins have no marks on them, and they have good strikes.

    Marty's image is done on a scanner, and the coin is still in the mint packaging. It is a no doubt DCAM.

    LW,

    Are you sure they aren't AU58?

  • After seeing that scan, Marty, I guess I know what you were thinking. If it looks that good through the cello, I can't wait to see a good picture of it.

    Dabnabit!!! My name is Ed.........not Eddie. See what you started Rusty????

    By the way Marty, that coin is only a PF-66 at best, even though I have never seen the coin, I can just tell by your taste in coins.

    Here's another 1964 cent! same story: from an "unopened" proof set"

    It looks pretty good, maybe 69CAM. I figure this coin cost me a dollar:

    the scratch over the date is on the plastic not the coin. bargains are still out there!
